Minimum age
The minimum age to obtain a class B driving license is 18 years old, but you have the option of taking the theoretical test up to 3 months before reaching that age.
Theoretical exam
The exam consists of a 30-question test, divided into two main sections. The first covers regulations and signs (such as types of permits, speed limits, maneuvers and traffic signs). The second part focuses on road safety, covering topics such as alcohol, fatigue, first aid and vehicle maintenance.
Documentation
On the day you start the registration process, it is essential that you bring your ID. In addition, you must present a medical certificate proving your psychotechnical aptitude, which you can obtain at any authorized medical center.
Practical exam
This test, which is carried out on roads with open traffic, mainly assesses two aspects: the student's ability to handle the vehicle and compliance with current regulations while driving.

Vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of up to 3,500 kg, designed to carry up to eight passengers in addition to the driver. These vehicles can also tow a trailer with a maximum authorised mass of up to 750 kg.
Vehicle combinations, consisting of a vehicle authorised by a B licence and a trailer weighing more than 750 kg, provided that the total weight of the combination does not exceed 4,250 kg, in compliance with applicable regulations.
Motor tricycles and quadricycles.
If you have had a B licence for more than two years, you can drive eco-friendly vehicles weighing up to 4,250 kg.
